Serving the Community in Crisis

From our Regional Director—“Greetings friends. I really wanted to personally say thank you for all that each and everyone of you has done for our people. Our people are so grateful. We have four groups in town. These groups eat from what they plant or work and most of them could not work due to the lockdown. When we sent out the first donations, we were picking eight to nine households form each group. These left people in the group still in need. Patience and I didn’t have the money to contribute, so last night she suggested we go home in the village and harvest bananas and share with the people.

Today I called home and ordered that all the mature bananas be harvested and the miracle was that we got a full truck with 150 bunches of bananas. These have arrived in Mbarara this evening and taken to group leaders’ homes where group members will personally come and pick them. Also my family (brothers and uncles) have donated another truck to bring to Mbarara.

We are so grateful to you all for your prayers and support. May God bless you abundantly.

“Now the multitude of those who believed were of one heart and one soul; neither did anyone say that any of the things he possessed was his own, but they had all things in common. And with great power the apostles gave witness to the resurrection of the Lord Jesus. And great grace was upon them all. Nor was there anyone among them who lacked; for all who were possessors of lands or houses sold them, and brought the proceeds of the things that were sold, and laid them at the apostles’ feet; and they distributed to each as anyone had need.”
