Words of Hope Africa (WOHA) in Uganda welcomed a team of two men, four ladies from one of WOHA’s partner churches in Chattanooga. The men helped repair and paint at the Center, led Bible studies in villages and participated with WOHA’s elementary school children, including those in our orphanage. They worked hard!
The ladies’ team led an exciting women’s conference at University Baptist Church in Mbarara with 63 ladies studying the book of Philippians. The team also taught skills in hygiene, soap-making for profit, baking. A medical doctor and a mental health counselor spoke to women one on one. As attendees left for home, WOHA distributed bars of soap, as well as water filters from the organization Filter of Hope. Since fuel prices had skyrocketed and WOHA could not provide transportation to all, the team led a second conference out in a village.
May was a busy month, and God was glorified! Thank you, Brainerd Baptist in Chattanooga!
