Words of Hope is a Christ-centered, non-profit organization based in Uganda dedicated to helping local churches empower widows and orphans in Africa.

Chris Bosson, PhD

“Chris served as a Baptist missionary in Uganda for 2 years. Upon returning from Uganda, he received his PhD in Systematic Theology from The Southern Baptist Theological Seminary in Louisville, KY. He currently works as a marketing writer for a values-based asset management firm in Boston, MA. Chris, his wife, Rahel, and three kids (Aster, Enoch, and Adonai) live in Boston, MA. He and his family have a heart to see the kingdom of God come on earth as it is in heaven.”


Andrew Bosson, PhD

Andrew has a heart for economic development and empowerment in Africa. He has lived in Uganda, in Kenya, and now resides in Johannesburg, South Africa, where he works in a management consulting firm, primarily on global health projects. Previously he worked as the global Country Strategy Manager for Save the Children International. Andrew holds a PhD in Biology from MIT in Boston, MA.


Cynthia Bosson

Cynthia began her walk of faith as a child, and for that reason, she especially likes to teach Bible truths to children and introduce them to Jesus. Cynthia has had the privilege of serving Christ in various ministries in the states and overseas for over fifty years. She and her husband, Allan, a retired Southern Baptist  pastor, have three sons, two daughters-in-law, and five grandchildren. 

Cynthia holds a BS in Family and Consumer Science from the University of Georgia and an MA in Special Education from Georgia Southern University.


Enoch Kategaya

Enoch came to the Lord as a teenager and was discipled by Chris, CEO of WOHA. Enoch has been in Christian Ministry since 2001, serving in different organizations at different levels. He served eight years as the senior pastor of his church in Mbarara, Uganda, until 2016, and continues to serve now as one of the Elders. He also serves as the chairman of the Baptist Association of Churches of Mbarara. Enoch and his wife, Patience, who works alongside him in the WOHA ministry, have two young sons, Asher and Nathaniel. Enoch holds a BA in Social Work and Social Administration from Makerere University and an MA in Social Economics and Community Management from Bishop Stuart University, as well as several certificates in Theology.


Andrei Sava

Andrei Sava is the Pastor for Preaching and Discipleship at Trinity Community Church, in Fresno, California. Born and raised in Romania, Andrei became a Christian in High School and later was sent by the church he grew up in to be trained in seminary. After he finished his studies, the Lord moved him to the States to pursue graduate studies in theology from The Southern Baptist Theological Seminary in Louisville, Kentucky. He is married with his beautiful wife Samantha, and they are the parents of three sweet girls, and another child on the way. He has a deep love for Africa and specifically for the ministry of Words of Hope in Uganda, whom he got to visit few years ago. 


Jay Newman

Jay Newman lives in Nashville, Tennessee with his wife Katie and three boys.  He's a graduate of Ouachita Baptist University and a prospective graduate of BH Carroll Theological Institute.  He has been involved in mission and discipleship efforts across five continents and is particularly passionate about the intersection of the arts with gospel witness.

Ann Lindholm

Ann's desire and heart is for the Bride of Christ to be prepared for our Messiah's return. She is the wife of a US Army Ranger, mother of four and homeschool mom. She has authored several books pertaining to living a spirit-filled life in the fields we have been called to. Ann also works in inner-healing ministry helping others to seek healing and reconciliation as she points them to Christ. Additionally, she hosts multiple women's Bible Study and Prayer groups in her home.
